Do you wonder why suddenly the school makes us wear lanyards now? Yes? No? Well, I do and honestly, I do not like it. The reason I do not like it is because I like to be mysterious and my whole identity is in my lanyard. The reason they make us wear lanyards is so they can make sure there are no intruders pretending to be students. Do you also wonder why they give us consequences for not wearing them? To me, it is unnecessary because people lose them and cannot find them. They charge us $5 for a new ID and $1 each for the plastic pouches and lanyards. I think it is not reasonable to charge us for a new one considering they are making us wear them. To sum it up I do not agree with lanyards and most of their rules, because they are unreasonable to me, and they are disliked by most students I’ve spoken to. Also, I think they will charge us $5 for a new ID to make us more responsible and keep up with our ID. Teachers and Staff are counting it as dress code when you do not have your ID. I do not think that should be counted as dress code.
